The Lower Mainland of B.C. has a very long tradition. For most of the past 30 years, players from all around decide to consciously hold tournaments in some of the worst weather year round. From October until May, the series has grown to a tournament a month, regardless of rain, snow, or wind. What began as a small group of like-minded individuals desiring a reason to play in the off season, has now grown into a full-fledged series that has tournaments fill registration in under an hour for single day events now requiring 36 individual holes of play over multiple courses.
For the 2016-2017 series, local company Ace Runners was chosen to organize the events, and part of that responsibility was fundraising to ensure payouts, series prizes and more. Fundraiser discs were a logical step towards this goal, so DoubleRam Disc was asked to create a series stamp. With online pre-orders available, the KC Pro Rocs never even made it to the sales tables, and the majority of stock (and additional molds) sold before the first event in Langley was over.
This disc has made appearances all over B.C. and has been spotted in the U.K. and even Australia.
